What Lisvero is
Lisvero is a platform where homes are advertised, tenancies are agreed, and the record of a tenancy is kept. The tenancy itself is between the tenant and the landlord. Lisvero is not the landlord, does not own the properties, and is not a party to the agreement the two sides make.
Who can use it
You must be eighteen or over and able to enter into an agreement. One account belongs to one person; accounts are not shared or transferred. A landlord account must pass verification before anything can be advertised, and we may ask for that again at any time.
Adverts
A landlord writes their own advert and is responsible for it being accurate. We verify that a property is genuinely theirs to let. That is not the same as vouching for every word of a description, and we do not present it as such.
If an advert turns out to be misleading, tell us. Adverts can be removed and accounts closed where there is dishonesty, harassment, or a risk to somebody's safety.
What you agree not to do
- Advertise a property you have no right to let, or one that is not available.
- Use anybody else's identity or documents.
- Charge a prospective tenant a fee to view a home.
- Copy, scrape or resell listings, or the details of the people on them.
- Use the platform to harass or threaten anybody.
Reviews and references
Only somebody who has lived in a home can review it, and only a landlord who let to a tenant can write a reference about them. A landlord may reply publicly to a review but cannot remove it. We moderate for abuse and for personal information, not for being unflattering.
Fees
Any charge that applies to you is shown before you agree to it. You will not be charged anything that was not stated up front.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and the records intact, but we do not promise that it will never be unavailable. Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under Kenyan consumer law, and where the two disagree, the law prevails.
Closing an account
You may close your account at any time. Some records are kept afterwards where the law requires it. The privacy notice explains that.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters to you, we will say so on the site and give notice before it takes effect, rather than quietly editing this page.
